Ms Jessica May is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Enabled Employment, Australia's only recruitment company representing the entire diversity of the Australian population. The company is diversity led, specialises in providing job opportunities for people at a disadvantage in the jobs market, people with a disability, carers, ex-Australian Defence Force Personnel and their supporting family, senior Australians, people from a culturally and linguistically diverse background, refugees, people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or intersex and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and candidates from non-disadvantaged backgrounds.
Enabled Employment was founded after Jessica’s experience as a highly educated and skilled worker with a disability, and is committed to social change, boosting innovation and productivity in business and government by increasing diversity in the workforce. We help eliminate barriers to employment for candidates, and match skills and qualifications to meet employer staffing needs. The company uses multiple innovative elements to make this happen including artificial intelligence, flexible and remote working, the employment agency business model and the latest cloud technology to make the process easy for both employers and employees.
Enabled Employment has won multiple awards including the Stevie Awards Women in Business Startup of the Year and Most Innovative Company of the Year, a United Nations National Disability Award, the Australian Human Resources Institute Graeme Innes AM Disability Employment Award and Sir Ken Robinson’s Award for Workplace Flexibility, amongst others.
Jessica has also been recognised personally by winning the National Telstra Women’s Business Awards in the Startup category and being named Entrepreneur of the Year Asia/Pacific at the Global Stevie Awards in New York in 2016.
Jess has a Diploma of Software Development, a Diploma of Project Management, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Sector Management.
